Led Quality function in an organization of 300
employees developing and implementing continual improvement projects for
cost reduction and process improvement. Developed and implemented
effective ISO 9001:2000 quality management system to establish
compliance with the standard and address customer requirements. Acted as
a key advisor to the General Manager for improving operations by
re-structuring process flow. Achieved cost reduction of US$200K per year
by developing a new key supplier.

Plant Quality Manager
Directed all Quality functions within electronic
products manufacturing company certified to ISO 9001 standard. Managed a
6 Sigma group. Managed a project for optimization of manufacturing
process which resulted in reduction of engineering personnel from from
46 to 30 and line inspectors from 160 to 90. The project resulted in
US$400,000 per year cost reduction. Maintained continuous process flow
through problem resolution for molded, electronic, and mechanical parts.
Directed implementation of an effective supplier development program
which led to cost reduction of $US350,000 per year.
Led new product qualifications in accordance with customer requirements
and company's practices. Successfully completed transfer to production
of several products for new clients within 4 months period. Acted as an
ISO Management Representative. Prepared the company for ISO 9001:2000
and TL 9000 certifications.

Promoted from a position of Quality Manager. Assigned
a project for improving 450-employee Business Unit performance with
total sales in excess of US$60,000,000 for FY 2000. Managed Production,
Quality Engineering, Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering and Material
supply functions. Acted as a key member of the company Strategy Team to
determine policies and actions for improving operation. Managed
injection molding area with 16 Fuji injection molding machines from 55
to 120 Ton capacity, using Polypropylene, Acetyl, Noryl and ABS
materials. Improved mold change time by utilizing SMED techniques from
165 to 30 minutes. Improved Kan Ban / Just In Time systems. Deployed
Preventive Maintenance schedule to fit production assembly needs.
Managed Tool Room for die maintenance. Improved productivity by 10% for
RF devices, subassembly and main assembly lines in a Cell manufacturing
environment. Serviced 5 automotive OEM’s with no major Customer
Complaints. Developed new product qualification programs for major
automotive customers in compliance with automotive standards systems
PPAP and APQP. Prepared area for Ford Q1 certification.
